Question: What is the RSS feature all about ?

Answer: The RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feature allows you to create a directory of pages (similar to a sitemap) of all pages on your site. These pages are submitted to one or more RSS aggregators and published in many directories across the internet. In effect creating many more backlinks to your site.

Question: What is this Links Page ?

Answer: The Links Page is very important. You need this page to be present on your site. The content on this page are 'outbound' links from your site to other sites in the network. The same is true for your site since your site will appear on the link pages of other sites in the network, pointing to your domain.

Question: How do I install the Links Page ?

Answer: Depending on the type of site you have there are 3 methods to install it. First the page uses PHP which is a server side code methodology, its alot like javascript but it processed on the server not the client's machine. If you have a typical site that was developed using an authoring tool like Dreamweaver or Frontpage, then the the site will have lots of pages with an htm or html extention. What you will need to do is make a copy of one of these pages, rename it to _resources.php and remove all the unique content in the page. This makes sure the Links Page looks like another page on your site. There is php code you can download from ALB that would then be inserted into this page. Once that is completed, upload the page to you site. You need to place a link to this page on your Home page. If you have a WordPress blog site, you will need to create a new Page in the WP Admin area, Title the page and then cut and paste the code provided from ALB. You will need to add a WP Plugin that allows PHP to operate within the blog. If you have a site that uses PHP or ASP, again, create a new page and name it _resources.php (or .aspx). Again, use the code available on ALB, upload the page and remember to place a link to it on your home page. Further detailed instructions are included in the download area of your ALB account.
